From June 13 to 15<\/strong>, the town of Vinkovci<\/strong> \u2013 the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe \u2013 will once again revive its glorious Roman heritage during the 12th edition of Roman Days<\/strong>, one of the most attractive historical-cultural events in this part of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At today\u2019s press conference, the director of the Vinkovci City Museum, Hrvoje Vuli\u0107<\/strong>, presented this year\u2019s theme: “Death on the Danube”<\/strong>. Inspired by the works of Agatha Christie<\/strong>, the story reflects on the death of Roman Emperor Valentinian<\/strong>, who passed away just before a battle on the Danube near modern-day Komarom in Hungary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The theme will be brought to life in the evening program<\/strong>, thanks to a collaboration between the City Museum of Vinkovci<\/strong> and Osijek National Theatre<\/strong> (HNK Osijek), with the script and direction by Vladimir Andri\u0107<\/strong> and Jasmin Novljakovi\u0107<\/strong>. A highlight will also be a pub quiz<\/strong>, organized by the museum for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Martina Matkovi\u0107<\/strong>, Director of the Vinkovci Tourist Board, announced that the festival begins with activities even before the main dates, creating a week-long prologue<\/strong>.
